The Council officially declared September 15 to October 15 as Hispanic Heritage Month—celebrating the contributions and culture of Latino residents throughout Pittsburg.

📊 Independent Auditor Reappointed

Council reappointed Badawi & Associates as the City’s independent auditor through 2026, ensuring continuity and strong oversight of public finances.

🏘 Affordable Housing Deal Finalized with RCD

Council approved a Disposition and Development Agreement (DDA) with Resources for Community Development (RCD) to build 75 100% affordable housing units at 2575 Railroad Avenue. This includes land transfer and support from state and regional partners.

🌆 Declaring Surplus Land for Housing

A City-owned parcel on El Pueblo Avenue was declared surplus, opening the door for future affordable housing under California’s Surplus Land Act.

🚧 Final Infrastructure Approved
